The package includes two nights' accommodation at Hotel c/o56 Chemnitz, breakfast, dinner on the day of arrival, a welcome drink and tickets for the Fichtelberg Railway and the Oberwiesenthal Suspension Railway.

In addition, there is free Wi-Fi, underground parking with electric charging stations and use of the rooftop gym.

The Fichtelberg is a year-round destination.

Spring and summer are ideal for hiking, autumn for panoramic views and photo tours, and in winter a fairytale snowy landscape awaits you with skiing and tobogganing fun.

Oberwiesenthal is located about 60 kilometres south of Chemnitz.

By car, you can reach your destination in about an hour. By train, travel to Cranzahl and then continue on the nostalgic Fichtelbergbahn railway.

The Hotel c/o56 Chemnitz is therefore the ideal starting point for your trip to the Ore Mountains.

The Fichtelberg Railway is a historic steam railway that runs from Cranzahl to Oberwiesenthal, chugging through beautiful countryside.

The Oberwiesenthal suspension railway takes you directly to the Fichtelberg and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Ore Mountains.

With this package, you can experience both railways – a real highlight for railway enthusiasts and nature lovers.

The most famous viewpoints are the Fichtelberg summit, the viewing platform on Keilberg (on the Czech side) and the Altenberg viewpoint.

From there, you can enjoy sweeping views of the Ore Mountains – particularly atmospheric at sunrise or sunset.

Chemnitz is the perfect base camp for excursions to the Ore Mountains.

The Fichtelberg Railway is located in the Central Saxony Transport Association area. Please travel to Chemnitz Central Station, take the Erzgebirgsbahn (route 517 | Chemnitz – Annaberg – Buchholz – Cranzahl – Bärenstein/Vejprty) and travel to Cranzahl station. Once there, please take regional bus line 428 (Annaberg-Buchholz – Sehma – Cranzahl – Neudorf) and travel to the Cranzahl station stop.

During your stay at the c/o56 conference hotel in Chemnitz, you can use the public parking spaces on the street free of charge or rent a space in our underground car park for €14 per 24 hours.

In addition to the summer toboggan run and monster scooters, there are child-friendly hiking trails, playgrounds, ski schools and cosy cafés.

Please drive to Cranzahl station (Bahnhofstraße 4 | 09465 Sehmatal).

The starting point of the Fichtelberg Railway is Cranzahl, and the destination is the spa town of Oberwiesenthal.

Free parking spaces are available directly at the station in Cranzahl.

The suspension railway operates daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., running every 15 minutes or as required.

During thunderstorms or strong winds, train services are interrupted.
